A man needs a shed and a man needs a hoby. Accordingly, wood turning has captivated my creative instincts. Here I display some of my creations and give tips on caring for wooden kitchen articles. Most of my timber comes from branches fallen from local street trees, fallen trees in farm paddocks and the occasional tree removed from someone's garden. When there's a significant wind event I trace my regular trail of likley spots and after a good flood I have a drive around looking for good timber deposited on the roadside.
